This two year, part time programme combines structured postgraduate education with expert-led online teaching and 12 practical clinical training days delivered through our expanding international faculty network.
Designed to fit around clinical practice, the programme enables you to gain an internationally recognised Master's qualification whilst developing advanced restorative, surgical and digital dentistry skills.
Successful completion awards 180 postgraduate credits and the MSc Specialist Practice in Digital Dentistry, accredited by the University of Greater Manchester.

Year 1 - Taught Programme
Year One delivers a comprehensive postgraduate curriculum covering the complete digital workflow, from diagnosis and treatment planning through to CAD design, manufacturing and clinical delivery.
The programme includes:
• 12 online taught modules
• 12 practical hands on training days
• One practical training day for every taught module
• Interactive assessments and quizzes
• Recorded lectures from internationally recognised clinicians
• Flexible learning designed around full-time clinical practice
Hands on training may be completed through one of our international faculty centres where available or by attending the UK cohort.
Year 2 - Master's Research
Year Two develops postgraduate research and evidence-based clinical decision-making whilst supporting the completion of your independent Master's dissertation.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should:
• Hold a recognised dental qualification
• Be eligible to practise dentistry within their country of residence
• Hold registration with the relevant dental regulatory authority
• Meet English language requirements where applicable

Advance Prior Learning (APL)
Applicants who have previously completed an IDDA Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma may be eligible to apply for Advance of Prior Learning (APL), which may reduce both tuition fees and study duration, subject to approval.

Graduates will also be invited to attend the official University of Greater Manchester Graduation Ceremony, celebrating their achievement alongside fellow postgraduate graduates.

How are assessments completed?
Assessment is completed through a combination of online coursework, module assessments, practical clinical components and the independent Master's dissertation.

An IDDA Scanner is supplied as part of your membership.
Ownership transfers only upon completing all 36 monthly payments.
(If payments stop or membership is cancelled early, the remaining balance becomes payable under the contract.)

Exclusive access to preferential pricing on additional scanners, printers, software and digital tools via ScanClub.co.uk.
(Non-members cannot place or complete orders.)

Membership Terms
- Scan Club Membership operates on a fixed 36-month minimum term.
- A Scan Club Contract must be signed before the scanner is sent.
- Monthly payments continue for the full 36 months.
- Hardware supplied through Scan Club is provided solely as an educational accessory to support the programme.
- Only active Scan Club Members may access discounted pricing or place hardware orders.
- The programme is designed as a fully supported pathway into digital dentistry, combining education, hardware access and ongoing guidance from the IDDA team.
