Same Day Digital Dentistry: Scan, Design, Mill & Deliver in a Single Visit
12 DECEMBER 2026 & 13 NOVEMBER 2027 · THE MARKET CROSS, BURY ST EDMUNDS
Take a restoration from scan to seat in a single visit and understand every step of the workflow that makes it possible.
Same day dentistry has the potential to transform both clinical efficiency and the patient experience. But delivering a restoration in a single appointment requires more than owning an intraoral scanner and milling machine - the entire digital workflow needs to work together.
This intensive hands on course takes you through the complete chairside restorative workflow: scan, design, mill and deliver.
You'll learn how each stage influences the next, where time and accuracy can be lost, and how to create a repeatable process that makes same day treatment practical rather than stressful.
The focus is on real clinical implementation. You'll work through the workflow hands on and leave understanding how to take what you've learned back into practice and begin applying it the very next day.
What you'll learn
During the course, you will:
- Understand the complete same day digital restorative workflow, from patient scan through to final delivery.
- Develop a structured approach to intraoral scanning for restorative cases.
- Learn how to assess your digital scan before progressing into design.
- Understand how scan quality and preparation capture influence the accuracy of the final restoration.
- Work through the CAD design process and understand the key parameters that require clinical assessment.
- Develop greater confidence evaluating margins, contacts, occlusion, morphology and restoration form.
- Understand how to prepare a digital design correctly for chairside milling.
- Learn how material and manufacturing decisions affect the restorative workflow.
- Understand the stages required after milling to prepare the restoration for clinical delivery.
- Learn how to identify common problems at each stage and troubleshoot them efficiently.
- Explore how to streamline the workflow without compromising the quality of the final restoration.
- Understand how same day digital dentistry can improve workflow control, efficiency and the patient experience.
Course aims & objectives
The aim of this course is to give clinicians a practical understanding of how to deliver a complete chairside digital restorative workflow within a single visit.
By the end of the day, delegates should understand how scanning, CAD design, manufacturing and clinical delivery connect and how decisions made at one stage affect everything that follows.
Rather than learning individual pieces of equipment or software in isolation, you'll develop a repeatable end to end workflow that can be transferred into everyday restorative practice.
What you'll leave with
A complete scan to seat workflow.
Understand how to progress logically from the initial digital impression through design, manufacture and delivery.
Greater confidence with chairside digital dentistry.
Know what needs to happen at each stage and what to assess before moving forward.
Practical CAD/CAM experience.
Work through the workflow hands on rather than simply watching a demonstration.
Better control over your restorations.
Understand how scanning and design decisions influence the restoration you ultimately fit.
A more efficient clinical process.
Learn where workflows commonly slow down and how a structured approach can make same day treatment more manageable.
Skills you can apply the next day.
Leave with a practical process designed to translate directly into your own clinical workflow.
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for dentists who want to introduce, improve or make greater use of chairside digital restorative dentistry.
It is particularly suited to clinicians who already have access to digital scanning and CAD/CAM technology but want to bring the individual stages together into a more confident and efficient same day workflow.
Whether you're beginning to offer same day restorations or want to improve the predictability of your existing workflow, the course is designed to help bridge the gap between having the technology and using it effectively.
